Original notice to Cottagers (from BFN)
Attention: Big Sand Bay Cottagers
Re: Caution- Ogemaa Miikan (past the Fish Processing Building)
Date: April 13, 2016
Please be advised that as of today’s date, the Lands Office did a visual inspection of the road going up to Big Sand Bay. The road is impassable. The road is very muddy and wet The mud is very deep in some areas. Even larger vehicles with 4 by 4 capabilites may not make it through.
We are encouraging everyone to not use the road and if you have made plans to come to the cottage this weekend, you are strongly urged to hold off until a later time. If you decide to use the road, be advised that the First Nation will not assume any responsibility for damages to vehicles or towing costs.
We will provide a further update on the condition of the road, closer to the end of next week.
Thank you.
