Save the Date – Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.

CICA had a productive year, meeting many of you in person, publishing our first Island Profile (of retired Captain Aaron) to great response, and with initiatives including the Christmas Hampers.

CICA is continuing last year’s policy of no required fee for membership for 2025-2026. However, we gratefully encourage leaseholders to “pay what they can” ($25-100) to support events and maintenance of the Islander Online website. These optional fees can be paid by interac e-transfer to: info@islanderonline.ca.

Would you like to volunteer as a Director? This year we are looking for two new CICA Board members from Big Sand Bay, possibly more. Being on the Board is a great way to get to know your fellow cottagers, your community, and work on initiatives that bring us all closer.

Anyone of us on the Board (see below) would be happy to speak about the work involved, mostly learning, working with others on small events, and attending virtual board meetings seven times a year. This is not a Board which requires a donation from Directors or specific expertise like legal work.

There are two technical criteria to run as a candidate:

1. you must be a member in good standing of CICA, and

2. you must be a named leaseholder.

You can nominate yourself or someone else by April 25th, via email: info@islanderonline.ca. Or you can nominate yourself or someone else from the floor during the AGM.

If you are interested in bringing up new business at the AGM, please let us know by sending a message to  info@islanderonline.ca.

All members who join by the meeting date of May 4 and are accepted in good standing will be able to vote (one vote per lease)  – and run for Director.
