Fraud Awareness: Message from Anishinabek Police Service

Constable David Hobson, Anishinabek Police Service, Christian Island Detachment, is trying to improve policing on Christian Island. His goal is to make the island community more aware of issues that may affect them and has invited CICA to also share that information with our members.

The members of the Christian Island Detachment of the Anishinabek Police Service would like remind the members of the Beausoleil First Nation that there are currently numerous scams occurring on the mainland. Everyone should be aware that scam artists will use all different ways to get your hard earned money, don’t let them!

Do not respond to unsolicited e-mails, letters, telephone calls, texts, or other social media messages and never give out or personal or financial information. Please remember authentic businesses that you do business with regularly will never ask for personal or financial information through social media formats or via e-mail.
