It is with great sadness that the family of Rosemarie Hackenberg announce her passing on October 19, 2022 at the age of 86. A cottage owner on Big Sand Bay since 1971, she and husband, (late) Albert, enjoyed every summer at the cottage, where long-lasting friendships were made along the beach. Rosemarie loved to have a full cottage – in the early years with her kids Alan, Roland, and Sandra; and as the family expanded, with her grandkids and great grandkids. We have decades of happy memories of summer life at the cottage with Rosemarie to reflect on. We are especially grateful for the time she spent with us on BSB this past summer, unknowingly her last, where she was able to visit with many friends she hadn’t seen in recent years. She is deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
